Sweet little Baby Darcy Elle

Here is this cutey, Darcy Elle, peeking out at the world. Not even 24 hours old. She is so precious! I am having the time of my life! I love this Grandma stuff! I am so thankful that Lindsey and Drew invited me to come be with them so I could meet this sweet baby. It reminds me so much of when I had my own new babies, but it has its pluses :) I am not sore, or tired. It is so nice to get to share it with my own daughter. Lindsey has had quite a few friends come by and visit. Even some Dad's! It has been fun to meet them. They are all so nice, and seem so genuinely interested in meeting and holding Darcy! It is cute. Lots of handwashing going on. (very consious of germs) What fun! What fun!

This was a picture during her 1st bath, the famous 'sponge' bath. She like to open her right eye long before she opens her left one, she is very funny. I've been calling her a little 'one-eyed pirate' when she does this.
Here she is all bundled up. Lindsey has started playing dress-up with her so here she is with her hat and the big purple flower on it. Nothing like baby girl clothes for a good time. How happy we are to welcome her to our family. I am glad I get to stay a while because I already don't know how in the world I am going to leave her.

visiting with the fam.

Okay I admit this was posed but it sure is cute. Whitney likes 101 dalmations so the girls were watching with her and they got glued for the photo. 3 cutey cute girls.

This is a picture of most of the Jenne's outside Luke's following Michael's blessing. It was such a priviledge to be there to hear the beautiful blessing that Luke gave to sweet little Michael along with a chance to hear his testimony also. We sure love these kids of Luke and Natalie's. Such lucky grandparents! It was so good of so many of the family to come. Alan and his family surprised us, I didn't know they were going to be able to make it but it was great.

A picture of me with Whitney. She is such a busy little body! I love to watch her as she takes on the world with gusto.
Who is this handsome foreigner you ask? Brother! Here is Tim modeling one of the hats that Tanner brought home from Russia.

It's impossible to pass up one of these great photo ops. This was on our way to Canada for Ty's mission report. It was a great trip. It was beautiful. We scrambled around and got our 'enhanced driver's license's' before we left so we could get over the border.

Places we've been

This picture was taken at the Hotel in Boise when we were on our way to the Family Reunion. Ashley loved the fancy bathroom. I wish I could remember exactly what we paid but I think it was $48 on Hotwire. I am a fan. This is the best place that we have gotten for the best price, but they are always better than Hotel 6 or something like that. There were really great beds and bedding. That's all that I really care about. Emily the ping pong queen. We loved this great place in St. Anthony where we had our reunion. There were a million great things to do.

Ah, Haley found the costume box:) Pretty hard to resist!
This was the great riding toy room. Even the Mom's had fun with these toys. Here I am taking a break from all the action and having a chat with Cameron.

Oh, Well here is another picture from the wedding. I guess it is a bit random but now it's uploaded I sure don't know how to take it off. It's a good picture of Emily anyway. Nice one of Tim too of course.

Karen's Wedding

I haven't put anything on forever so I have lots of random pictures to add so here goes: I have to admit that I don't really take very good pictures as a rule, but I am posting some of them. This is me with all my brothers and sisters at the beautiful Karen's wedding.
This was on the crazy 'hike that Tim decided to have in May. It was warm at home but after we got up above Ellensburg it was cold. Ashley was in her shorts. Emily created these 'sweats' for Ashley out of her sweatshirt :)
This fun time was when we were bowling after the wedding. It was sooo fun. We had a great time. Unfortunately I don't really take such grand pictures but I liked this one because it had the great form of both Tim and Emily all at once. How lucky!

Here is a sweet picture of Luke's form.

Opps, back to the hike again. Here we are enjoying the hike in the SNOW! We were not prepared. The hike didn't last that long. It was an adventure we were not quite ready for I'm afraid. I fell through the snow, it was really deep in some places. My foot got stuck and I pulled my shoe of getting out of it. I was a little bit cranky by then I must admit. I lost my sense of adventure.

Emily Singing at Jr. Miss "Everything"

I finally figured out how to download a video. Yahoo. So here is most of Emily's song for Jr. Miss. I wish it were a higher quality recording, but it still sounds good. We were sure proud of her.

Ashley's 2nd Grade Sleepover

This is part of Ashleys sleepover at the school on Friday Night. Those are her legs next to Mrs. Longmire her teacher. This is during the reading time. Each child was to bring their favorite book. This is in response to the challenge. "Everyone who likes to read raise their feet". Mrs. Longmire is a fabulous teacher.
Here is a shot of Ashley looking through her book. She chose to bring "The Midas Touch" which is a little crazy because we have never read that to her. There are millions of books we have read together but she wanted to bring this one. Which is fine...just unique.
One of the great activities was bubble blowing. Here is a picture of Ashley. But Hey it's the wrong one! I am so good at this blogging stuff:) I know that I could download another but I just don't know how to put it here. Oh well. It will have to do. I have another where she actually has a bubble out there. Well, that's the way it goes with me I guess. She sure had fun.

Her very favorite activity was riding the scooters through the hallways and the gym. The kids had a blast. There were kids that never went to sleep. There were 2 dads that stayed up all night. Peter Yorgesen and Tony Langdon. What good sports. I went to sleep about 12:30 then I got up at 2:00 for the races in the hallway. I think the kids loved to be able to do things that are taboo during regular school hours.

I finally figured out how to put a video on so here is a video of Ashley riding a scooter amid the chaos the next morning as we were getting cleaned up and ready to leave. The kids were really so good. No troubles. Maybe a little messy, but that was easily remedied. But then what was there to complain about it was a wild and crazy night of one fun thing after another and the rare chance to stay up all night! They had a water fight outside, they blew bubbles, they threw frizbees, they ran races, the did some reading, there was plenty of food and snacks, they finished a Mother's Day Present (we were banned from the room of course). It was an amazing night. My first thought about it was that Mrs. Longmire has to be crazy to do this thing...but then after watching it all happen and being part of it I was reminded why I think she is so wonderful. What a big heart!

JR MISS

Here is Emily getting ready for Jr. Miss. What a big production it all is! But she looked great!

All dressed up and forced to pose! I had other pictures but they didn't turn out so great so this is all I have.

This is part of the opening number! Oh baby! This was to some song "black and White" I think and the theme of the night was color your world. (I think)

All my pictures of her actually moving in the fitness routine were blurry so here is a cute one at the end when she was...what else posing again!

Here she is in her fancy dress with her friend Eden. She is hold her certificate of Award for winning the talent! Yahoo! She was so awesome! I will try to put on a video of it. I tried already but it wouldn't load with these pictures so I loaded these separately and will give it another try later.

Isn't this a nice official sort of picture! Entering the MTC. Kinda reminds me of George Washington! Such an exciting day.

I thought it was funny that they had a seam ripper at the MTC front desk for picking out the stitching in the pockets of the Elders' new suits! Here's Haley taking care of business for Nick.

I thought we got a pretty good picture of everyone here.

Yikes! I would actually like to delete this picture of me but I don't have the skills! So only look at Nick here!

It was fun to see the boys walking along together all dressed up in their suits. They look much alike.

We have gotten 3 letters from Nick so far. He also wrote to Linz so we have heard a good bit from him. He sounds good. He sounds like he is really enjoying himself. I love to hear what he says. Here are a few quotes.
"I love it here. I wouldn't be any where else. I know this really is God's work."

In his latest letter he said this "I love it here. The only other place I would want to be is in Arizona already but I could definitely use to learn some more so I think I can wait. "

It's funny, he has made reference several times to his companion, Elder Allen, telling the District stories. He was telling us his schedule and he said "After that we go back and my companion Elder Allen usually tells our district a story. I recorded some of them so I'll send my memory card home soon. "
